2025 Speaker Highlights

KEYNOTE SPEAKER:

Tony Sales

Britain’s greatest former fraudster

Having transitioned from a criminal past to become a trusted advisor, Tony brings a rare and invaluable perspective that has made him a sought-after voice in the world of cyber security. He works closely with law enforcement, academia and global brands, helping to shape fraud prevention strategies and tackle emerging threats head-on.

Known for his unmatched insight into how criminals think and operate, Tony communicates risk in a way few others can — cutting through complexity to reveal the real vulnerabilities facing organisations today. A regular presence on TV and radio, his sessions are thought-provoking, eye-opening and not to be missed.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER:

Heather Lowrie

Chief Information Security Officer and Founder at Earthgard

Heather Lowrie is a senior leader in cyber security, technology, risk and resilience, with over 25 years of experience across public and private sectors. As former Chief Information Security Officer at the University of Manchester, she led the organisation through a major cyber incident and played a key role in shaping its long-term security strategy.

Named CISO of the Year 2024 at the SC Awards Europe and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Information Security, Heather is recognised as a trusted authority on board-level engagement, digital risk and resilience.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER:

Paul Abbott

Consulting Specialist

Back by popular demand, Paul Abbott returns to the Cyber Summit 25 stage with a new take on one of the UK’s most high-profile ransomware attacks.

As former Director of KNP Logistics Group, Paul shares his first-hand experience of the breach that led the 158-year-old company into administration. Joined by Aspire’s SOC team, he explores how the attack unfolded, what could have been done differently and what others can learn through live “what if” scenarios. This is a rare blend of real-world leadership insight and frontline technical analysis, and his session is not to be missed.

2024 Feedback

The speakers were great. A good variety and very open and honest.

The event struck a good balance between imparting the seriousness of the topics with optimism and practical advice.

I think the whole event was very well put together and delivered with excellent speakers.
